A Symphony of Burlap and Lace - Claire & Tomas
We are certainly no stranger to stylish burlap and lace around these parts and today's wedding pulled it off just perfectly (asides from the minor comical mishap during the ceremony...). We have the stunning images from Claire and Tomas' big day right here as shot by Tara Donoghue Photography.
Ok now where should I begin.. oh yes that's right, the beginning. Now the lovely Claire met her future husband on the day of the Munster Football final, in the town where they would marry. Now it really doesn't get much more Irish than that does it? Romantic Tomas proposed to Claire on Christmas Eve at home in the garden. He had the ring so well hidden in the attic he had to root for it for ten minutes! All the while Claire was wondering what he was up to.
Claire and Tomas opted for a burlap and lace theme. Mags at Finesse Bridal Wear provided Claire with some additional lace for her unity candle and flowers. Now while they turned out picture perfect, they most definitely were not inflammable and caught fire mid ceremony. Not to worry though they were put out quickly much to the amusement and giggles of the guests.
The couple's honeymoon was to be only their second holiday together ever so they were really going to make it a special one! They headed to Florida and stayed in a luxurious hotel followed by a Caribbean cruise stopping in Jamaica, Haiti, Grand Cayman and Mexico... Certainly making up for their 7 year drought!
Congratulations Tomas and Claire and a very big thank you to the ever so talented Tara Donoghue Photography for sharing her fabulous work with us at Appleberry.
